AFTER five straight losses some would think the group would be downhearted, however, the feeling around the club was ecstatic!
The Saints all had a good feeling that this week was the week, and after taking on Lang Lang, they finally got their first taste of victory.
Over the last few weeks, they have started to play more and more on brand Nyora footy.
“We knew it was coming we just had to be patient. We had four changes from the week prior that gave the group a completely new look. The boys that came up played their role well and allowed others to excel in other positions,” coach Dylan Heylen said.
“Our first full four quarter effort got us the result we have been searching for.
“We are confident the belief amongst the group has reached a point where we can get a few wins in row.
“The group is still learning week to week about how to handle tough situations during the game. This week was no different and we took a lot from it.
“We need to stay focussed and continue to improve for next week against Yarragon. We hope to make it two wins in a row and get our year back on track.”
