INVERLOCH-Kongwak secured a win after a tough contest with Warragul Industrials in slippery conditions.
Playing at the Inverloch Recreation Reserve, the wind favoured the town side.
The Dusties used the wind to their advantage and kicked the first two goals of the match.
Not to be outdone, Inverloch-Kongwak kicked four against the wind before the end of the first siren.
Jarvis Harvey kicked two goals in the first quarter for the Sea Eagles and led the goal-scoring efforts for the day, kicking five for the game.
Harvey was brought into the Senior side from the U18s this season and played a standout game against the Dusties, demonstrating his strong breakthrough into Senior footy.
He was coming off six interleague goals during the recent Gippsland carnival and impressed with strong marking skills all day despite the wet conditions.
The rain held off during the Senior game, but the ground was wet underfoot, and the contests tightened.
The second quarter was an even tussle, limiting scoring options on both sides.
By the third quarter, Inverloch-Kongwak had the game back on its terms, adding five more goals to the tally.
Marcus Toussaint dominated in the ruck and was well supported by strong midfielders Paul Pattison, Oscar Toussaint, Andrew Soumilas and Ethan Park.
Park had returned to Inverloch-Kongwak’s lineup after a lengthy layoff due to injury.

Centre half-back Trent Bacon was also back from injury, and the team was pleased to see them both return.
Tate Short also put on a great performance in centre half forward, contributing three goals for the day.
The tight contests continued through the fourth quarter.
Inverloch-Kongwak added two goals to its score, keeping the Dusties to just one point.
Unfortunately, an incident at the 20-minute mark brought the game to an abrupt end.
Pattison and a Dustie opponent suffered a head collision and required an ambulance to attend for treatment.
Both players were treated for concussions and other injuries but are recovering and were able to return home that night.
The captains agreed to end the match early, with Inverloch-Kongwak claiming a 53-point win.
The club wishes both players a speedy recovery and hopes to see Pattison back in the lineup for finals.
Inverloch-Kongwak will come against Dalyston at home this Saturday.
With just a few games left before the finals series, Inverloch-Kongwak intends to come to every game like it’s a final and continue implementing its winning strategies.
