Under the leadership of the clubs dedicated president, Maree McKiernan who has served for two years and been on the committee for nearly five, the club offers a variety of social and competitive bowling events. “Our popular corporate and barefoot bowls attract younger players, making it a perfect setting for both seasoned bowlers and newcomers alike,” said Maree.
“As we strive to enhance our facilities year-round — for example updating our greens, which costs over $150,000—we rely on grants and fundraising efforts. So, member participation not only helps us grow but also strengthens our community.”
In addition to bowling, the club host a range of social events that foster a sense of community and inclusivity. Whether you're a seasoned player or just curious to give it a try, everyone at any age is welcome at San Remo Bowls Club.
The club are hosting a fabulous Ladies Oaks Day on Thursday, November 7, from 12pm to 5pm. This exciting event promises an afternoon of elegance and fun, featuring a refreshing cocktail upon arrival, enjoy a scrumptious two-course meal, show off your style and compete for exciting prizes in the Fashions on the Field sweepstakes, and experience the thrill of the races with full live coverage throughout the event.
