The climate change power trip

I GOT my electricity bill today. It’s 65.09 per cent higher than the same time last year even though we have used less electricity pKh for the same period of time. This is what this ideologically driven federal government is doing to everyone.

Bowen is insane with his green climate change power trip that is costing everyone more and more and causing the loss of business all over Australia. Getting rid of trees (where our native animals live) to put up power lines and solar panels, putting up wind turbines in the ocean to get rid of our migratory whales and seabirds is not what we want.

There are other ways to reasonably phase out of fossil fuels. Regrettably we have to put up with this for another 18 months before we may be able to get rid of him. 

The only good thing is that Tanya Plibersek put a stop to the wind power terminal at Hastings for the storage of the wind turbines that back in 2022 Jordan Crugnale so desperately wanted that she brought down Lily D’Ambrosio (who at the time was energy and environment minister – what a disastrous mix!) to tell us how wonderful wind turbines would be off the shores of Phillip Island, Kilcunda and Inverloch.

At least Western Port and Bass Strait this side of Wilsons Prom has now been saved from ecological destruction. Whales, penguins, seals and shearwaters all say thank you.

Time for a change, everyone. Have a good hard think about it.
