IT WOULD appear from an article that was written in last week’s SGST that the ratepayers of Sunderland Bay Surf Beach have succumbed to Bass Coast Council’s continual disinformation and refusal to answer questions regarding the special charge scheme.

That is not the case and as numerous ratepayers of Sunderland Bay Surf Beach have been banned from contacting council, our local newspapers are our only way to voice our concerns to the larger community regarding the dirty council tricks that know no bounds.

This council is working to a timeframe, and they have a one design suits all developments approach. They have failed to present a design plan of the works when it clearly states in the public notice that there is a detailed plan available for inspection.

We are asked to vote yes or no with no details of what is proposed and how each of our blocks of land will be impacted, even council do not know what will be in the final design or what will be excluded.

Would you buy a car or house with no details on what is in the contract?

Graeme Davy, Surf Beach.
