Values not reflected

I have never been to an Australia Day New Citizens ceremony before, and on the 26th of this month, I went to the one held in Wonthaggi to get a sense of how they are now being run by local government officials, and what our newest Australian citizens are being told about the country they are now committing themselves to as citizens.

I really loved seeing the pride and satisfaction of some thirtyish ‘New Australians’ from all over the world declaring their loyalty to our dear country. It was a moving experience and I really recommend going to one of these events to show our newest citizen neighbours our fellowship and neighbourly affection.

It was a privilege to be there.

However, I cannot say the same about the people who organised the preamble to this very important event in the life of any ‘new’ and still experimental society, which ours is.

We were subjected to a grossly extended ‘acknowledgement of Country’ that was little better than the sort of propaganda exercise one might expect at a Putinesque youth rally presided over by the Orthodox Church hierarchy, and whose only purpose was to recruit the naive and inexperienced to prop up the regime’s adventurism.

All we heard about was aboriginality being the primary source of our collective national identity... and guilt... and by brutal contrast, the sublime sweetness and light that is being brought to us by the ‘proud sponsors’ (Bass Coast Woke Central that runs our local government and represents the larger postmodernist trained regime ascendancy that now controls all of our social institutions).

In all that ‘acknowledging’ in front of a bunch of migrants, there was not one single reference to anything that modern migrants have done to build this continent into a single entity modern nation state, with one central language, one set of stable and well-crafted institutions and then made it ongoingly attractive enough for people like our latest crop of citizens to want to come here and live, and sometimes risk their lives to get here, because anyone with an iota of intelligence, motivation and discipline can do well here within one generation.

None of that was on the radar of ‘the regime sponsors’, which is why I for the first time was moved to say that this ‘acknowledgement’ did not speak for me or a very significant section of the rest of society. 

It was no coincidence that this woke ‘propagandafest’ was occurring in the context of a ‘proposed’ (Inevitably! Isn’t that right children?) constitutional change and referendum, and the absolute chaos current in central Australia, which is the sum result of perverse and incompetent woke social administration since it took over the shop in and around 1970.

After half a century and into a third generation, they can’t keep blaming their predecessors for the terrible mess their own policies have caused since then, which is why the wokes in charge of our citizenship ceremony were so keen to win over our citizen newbies and obscure their lousy regime track record of social maladministration, falsifications of history and empty promises for the future.
