AT ABOUT 12.26am on Friday morning, October 6, the power went off in Cowes on Phillip Island, reportedly impacting 843 properties.
The power went off suddenly, flicked briefly back on a few seconds later and then went black permanently.
The Ausnet ‘Outage Tracker’ website noted that the power could be off until 6.30am but will hopefully come back on sooner.
“We're investigating the cause of this outage and will update you here. We hope to get your power back on sooner than the estimated time of restoration,” said an Ausnet spokesman.
