ON SATURDAY, August 27, LKFC’s under 17s mixed team and under 17 girls’ team both played in the Cup Finals (an adjacent competition to the regular fixture).
The U17s Mixed team put on a dominant display with an early goal from James Heneghan securing the lead.
A wonderful cross from Captain Mitch Bath was sent in again by Henghan to add to the score.
Though opponents Drouin fought throughout, LKFC proved too difficult to contain winning with a 4-1 score.
The U17s girls conceded an early goal to opponents Wonthaggi but soon after found their footing in the game.
A wonderful opening goal by Lissie Bath set the tone for the rest of the match with LKFC winning 3-2.


Junior presentation day: On Sunday, August 28, LKFC held their 2022 Junior Presentations.
With the sun shining, the Miniroos, under 12s and under 14s gathered to celebrate a wonderful season and play the annual parents v players match.
The Don Morris trophy for best club-person was awarded to Mike Munday in recognition of his wonderful coaching this season.
Club president Lorcan Heneghan was awarded a Life Membership for his years of volunteering at the club.
