DEPUTY Leader of the Federal Opposition and Shadow Minister for Small and Family Business, and Industry and Skills the Hon Sussan Ley MP was in Leongatha this week.

Ms Ley spoke at a community roundtable discussion hosted by the Liberal Candidate for Monash Mary Aldred, with representatives from local sporting clubs, childcare, TAFE and community aged care attending.

The purpose of the roundtable discussion was to highlight some of South Gippsland’s challenges and priorities across population growth, infrastructure, and support for small business.

“It was terrific to have the Deputy Leader of the Federal Opposition Sussan Ley in town to hear directly from community organisations about what areas of support our region needs most. Identifying some of the most critical issues – from improving access to childcare, support for our sporting clubs, driving skills and higher education and better resourcing community aged care are the areas I’m committed to fighting for on behalf of the Monash electorate,” said Ms Aldred.
