EMERGENCY services are responding to a fatal two-car collision in Foster North this morning.
It is believed one of the vehicles was making a right hand turn from Foster-Mirboo Road onto the South Gippsland Highway, when it collided with an oncoming vehicle at about 7.20am.
The driver of the first vehicle, a woman in her late 70s from Woorarra, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and an investigation is ongoing.
The South Gippsland Highway is closed in both directions between Falls Road and O’Gradys Ridge Road.
