Glen Alvie home engulfed by flames

FIREFIGHTERS battled an intense blaze last night at a property on Glen Alvie Road, Glen Alvie. 

CFA was notified at 7:53pm and on arrival, crews found a weatherboard structure fully involved with all occupants out of the building.

According to local brigades, no injuries were reported fortunately. 

The incident was declared under control at 8:43pm, and nine CFA vehicles were on scene from Loch, Wonthaggi, Glen Alvie, and Kernot brigades.

Fire investigators are on scene today to determine the cause.
