ON SATURDAY, March 25, Newhaven College hosted the annual College Open Day and Alumni reunions for graduates from years 1993, 2003, 2013 and 2018.
The College’s stunning 82-acre campus was looking its best as visitors teemed from the Gym to the Year 9 Environmental Centre, taking in everything in between.
Open Day
Hundreds of prospective students and their families visited the College on the day. College student leaders took guided tours around the school, sharing their knowledge and passion for their school with visitors. It was impressive to see so many students and staff helping out on the day in various ways.
Highlights included the Equestrian display located near the Year 9 Environmental Centre, where families watched some of Victoria’s best junior riders show off their skills. The gym was home to fun sporting activities, as well as displays on the school’s surf and tennis academies. Displays and presentations were on offer throughout the school’s main locations. Visitors were treated at every location around the campus.
For those unable to attend, Newhaven College tours can be arranged through the College’s Registrar Belinda Manning at belinda.manning@newhavencol.vic.edu.au, 5956 7505 or book online through the Newhaven College website.
Alumni Reunion
Newhaven College is in the process of growing its alumni connections, so the annual reunion is the perfect place to get things moving. The school welcomed back students who graduated in 1993 (30 years), 2003 (20 years), 2013 (10 years) and 2018 (5 years). They were met by Principal Tony Corr who guided the group on a tour of the school. For many of these students, even the most recently departed, there were plenty of new and exciting facilities to share with the returning graduates.
