THE senior game was a tight contest in the first half on a terrific sunny day at Darnum.

Nyora held a 16-point lead at half time with Dylan Heylen leading from the front and being in charge.

Travis Stewart in the ruck was holding his own against ex Nyora ruckman Nick Carrigy.

Other players to be performing well were Nick Fairbank, Kel Rigby and Aiden Simmons.

In the third quarter, Nyora broke loose kicking nine goals to two with Taylar Gard and Marvin Sellars kicking three each for the quarter.

Travis Stewart took a hanger and helped himself to two goals for the quarter, while Jesse Heylen was among the action playing on ball as was Adam Pugh.

In the last quarter, Nyora kicked away again, scoring a very good win with all players contributing across the ground.

Reserves

This game was an excellent game with both sides toing and froing.

Nyora held a small lead at the third quarter break.

Darnum kicked early goals to put their noses in front before Nyora bounced back with Trent Breen kicking a late goal.

But Darnum hadn’t finished kicking a late goal in the last two minutes to hold a two point lead.

From the centre, Nyora got a quick break and drove forward with Trent Breen marking 30 metres out in front.

The siren went with Nyora two points down. Trent held his nerve to slot it through the middle for an after the siren goal, Nyora winning by four points.
