THE Dalyston Football Club is very pleased that it was again successful in receiving a grant from the National Australia Day Council to hold the Oz Day at the Daly family festival.
The Dalyston Recreation Reserve will come to life as it hosts another great family day on January 26, where the community can reflect, respect and celebrate.
Now in its third year this event showcases quality local talent and creates an affordable, safe day out for families from throughout Bass Coast.
The program from the previous events has been expanded with some new activities and another amazing fireworks display planned to finish off the night.
Once again there will be carnival rides, face painter and other kid’s activities together with live bands and a super screen.
Dalyston Football Netball Club president Andy Thomas is rapt with the fantastic community days the previous festivals created, and the great feedback received.
“I loved the sight of the Dalyston families walking through the gates and as the town continues to grow we expect OZ Day to continue to grow also. The car loads of families that made the trip out really appreciated the entertainment, the relaxed atmosphere and room to move on the oval. We are proud of the role the Dalyston Football Netball Club plays in bringing the community together and events such as Oz Day at the Daly build and strengthen this connection.”
A key consideration when selecting the bands is to engage local groups and if possible young emerging performers.
The quality of local talent is outstanding and this event continues to give great exposure to these performers.
Oz Day at the Daly is a ticketed event and tickets are now available through Try Booking via https://trybooking.com/CFAKR

Local talent on show
