Pink Day excites at Nyora Cricket Club

NYORA Cricket Club hosted its Pink Stumps Ladies Day on Saturday.

Despite the heat, more than 100 people turned out to support the important cause and enjoy a fun afternoon at the club.

Now in its fourth year, the club was looking to raise $10,000 at this event.

This is off the back of a highly successful 2024 event, where more than $12,000 was raised for the McGrath Foundation.

During the afternoon, there were lots of fun activities for those who attended, including quizzes, games, raffles and a speech by Jem from Intimo with helpful information about breast cancer.

Prizes for the raffles were generously donated by the community. 

The afternoon ran into an after party, where DJ Starlight provided entertainment and the A2 cricketers could join in the festivities.

The A2 match between Nyora and MDU was played out during the event.

“It’s nice to do something for the ladies and for the community,” Nyora Cricket Club’s Natalie Mlinaric said.

“There were a lot of people here who are not part of the cricket club, so it’s nice to have a day where people can come and catch up with their girlfriends, relax and enjoy the day.”

The Nyora Cricket Club thanked those who supported another highly successful event.
