The Burra Brewing Co is a microbrewery located in the beautiful rolling hills of Korumburra, the gateway to South Gippsland.
And it’s come a long way since its establishment in 2017, not only redeveloping a dilapidated site in Commercial Street into a state-of-the-art brewery and hospitality venue, but also adding to the lifestyle of locals and the variety on offer to visitors.
As a result of what they’ve achieved in a relatively short time, they’ve received a number of industry awards including the 2021 Gippsland Food and Fibre Awards – Winner Food & Drink Manufacturer and the 2021 Federation University Gippsland Business Award as the top Food and Wine Producer.
The popularity of the venue is easy to understand, with a magnificent line up of locally made beers and a complementary menu of gourmet meals and classic pizzas.
Take the taste test of a selection of the beers to decide which you like best – there’s bound to be one or more to take your fancy.
HARVEST ALE: Wet hopped in the whirlpool and fermenter this beer has a unique earthy flavour. Using locally sourced hops by Hudson Hops this beer is a yearly brew. Picking and brewing within 24hours creates a flavour like none of our other brews.
GOLDEN ALE: Our Golden Ale has a well-rounded malt flavour with two Aussie hops used throughout the boil. This traditional Aussie beer has been brewed as a mid-strength so you can have one extra.
PALE ALE: Burra Brewing’s Pale Ale comes with a mix of hops delivering pleasure to the nose and taste buds. Dry hopping this refreshing beer adds some tropical fruit notes offsetting the bitterness of the early hop additions.

BURRA LIGH: Brewed clean and crisp, this beer is a single hopped beer and isn't overpowering in any way. Made to be very palatable.
DARK ALE: A British Brown Ale style with caramel forward notes, light coffee and toffee flavours coming through hopped with traditional English hops releasing a smooth floral aroma.
LAGER: Smooth straw-coloured beer, lightly hopped with a mild bitterness. Smooth malt flavour with less than 5% specialty malt.
HAZY MOSAIC: Brewed with a natural haze. With the mango coming forward from the mosaic its one for the nose and taste buds. Very drinkable.
MINERS STOUT: Korumburra was born as a coal mining town in the mid 1800's. More than 2 thousand men mined 2 million tonnes of coal from Korumburra coalfields from 1893 to 1962.
AMARILLO IPA: Single hopped IPAs don’t have anywhere to hide. The Amarillo is a very well-rounded American hop and it works well in the IPA. They didn’t want the grain to disappear because of the hops so they kept the crystal percentage high in the grain bill to bring the extra level to the IPA.
Drop in and enjoy Burra Brewing’s friendly service. Try a delicious wood fired pizza in the warm surrounds of their working brewery, along with a few of their natural, handcrafted beers, all brewed on site.
