West Gippsland League finals venues announced

THE Alex Scott & Staff West Gippsland Football Netball Competition are pleased to announce the venues for the 2022 Final Series.

Six venues have been selected for the league's first finals series since 2019, headlining the series is Koo Wee Rup's successful bid to host the league's decider.

Here is the schedule for the 2022 WGFNC Finals Series.

Week 1

1^st Elimination Final: Saturday, 20 August – Bass Recreation Reserve – 3^rd v 6^th

2^nd Elimination Final: Sunday, 21 August – Bunyip Recreation Reserve – 4^th v 5^th

Week 2
2^nd Semi Final: Saturday, 27 August – Inverloch Recreation Reserve – 1^st v 2^nd

1^st Semi Final: Sunday, 28 August - Cora Lynn Recreation Reserve – Winners of Week 1

Week 3
Preliminary Final: Saturday, 3 September - Dalyston Recreation Reserve
Loser of 2^nd Semi Final v Winner of 1^st Semi Final

Week 4
Grand Final: Saturday, 10 September – Koo Wee Rup Recreation Reserve
Winner of 1^st Semi Final v Winner of Preliminary Final

The WGFNC invited all clubs to apply to host matches during the finals series with eight of the twelve clubs deciding to apply in 2022. Considerations for hosting a final include but are not limited to the following:

• Spectator access and areas
• Vehicle access and parking
• Football & Netball playing surfaces
• Change rooms and overall facilities
