Why not introduce permits?

IN LAST week’s Sentinel Times, a letter from a Mr. Ehrlich was written expressing his concern for parking in our towns for especially elderly residents where there are time parking restrictions. I know certain permits are now available in named areas to park but in different towns, the restricted parking areas are very limited.

Four of the writer’s suggestions, the one that I totally agree with, is a permit system for licensed locals who apply to their Council for this special permit, that is displayed in the car at any available parking area, but with their rego. number on the council permit.
