ATM ram raid in Korumburra

An attempt to steal cash from a Korumburra ATM at around 2.30am this morning failed to achieve its objective, instead causing substantial damage to the wall of WEF Accounting.

Bass Coast Crime Scene Services attended, with police saying they would make no further comment until investigations are carried out.

Scott from South Gippsland Security Services was posted to the crime scene, saying a truck was used in the incident, but the ATM remained intact and was not removed from the scene, preventing any money being taken.

"All they've done is a lot of damage," he said.
