It was a scrappy and difficult game at the Garfield Recreation Reserve.
Garfield kicked the first two goals of the game.

It was not a great first quarter and neither was the second.
The Giants only scored two points in the first half to Garfield’s 5.5.35. It was a low scoring effort for both teams due to the weather, but an even more disappointing first half from the Giants.
Strong defensive pressure by Nick Besley, Zach Walker and Guy Dickson kept the Giants in the hunt.
The Giants had more of the ball in their forward line in the second half, with lots of opportunities that only resulted in a few points.

Garfield only scored one goal, much to the Giants’ credit.
During their final term of the season, the Giants finally scored a goal from set shot by Kye Benson.
Korumburra-Bena’s better players were Borschmann, Codie Anderson, Benson and Dickson.
It was a very disappointing last game from the Giants, but it doesn’t reflect the year that they have had.
Many new recruits and young players came into the side, with a lot of potential being shown.
With a bye next week, this brings Korumburra-Bena Giants’ season to an end.
It was another tough year on the scoreboard, however it doesn’t reflect on the improvements made on and off the field.
