A 2.8 magnitude earthquake has been reported 4km east-north-east of Flinders in Victoria, on Sunday night, July 3.
The epicentre was 15 kilometres from Phillip Island but few people have reported hearing of feeling anything.
A resident of Ventnor told the Sentinel-Times that they heard about the tremor but didn’t feel it.
“We were inside at the time but didn’t feel anything. The dog barked at something at about 6.30pm but that was it,” he said.
The quake struck at a depth of 10km with those who felt it reporting “weak shaking”.
The time of the tremor was 6.29pm.
