AusNet are undertaking aerial inspections of power poles on Phillip Island.

AUSNET are undertaking aerial inspections on Phillip Island today with a blue and yellow helicopter visible over Cape Woolamai and the eastern end of the island this morning. 

"AusNet carries out inspections throughout the year to help identify, monitor and repair wear and tear on powerlines and poles," a spokesperson from AusNet said.

"These routine aerial inspections help to support a reliable and safe electricity supply for communities across our network.

"We are flying in the areas highlighted by blue dots in the map (below), capturing images of pole tops for assessment of potential issues."

AusNet are capturing images of pole tops for assement as highlighten in blue on Phillip Island and in San Remo today.
