Get Fire Ready tips in Leongatha this Thursday

LEONGATHA Fire Brigade members were preparing for the fire season on Sunday, training with other brigades from the Strzelecki Group, and are encouraging community members to start their preparations by attending an open day at Leongatha Fire Station this Thursday.

The Get Fire Ready event runs from 11am until 2pm.

“With conditions expected to be challenging, now is the time to get prepared,” Third Lieutenant Cameron Hanley said.

The brigade’s friendly volunteers will be happy to chat and answer your questions.

Along with gaining important knowledge, there’ll be door prizes up for grabs for those attending the Get Fire Ready event.
