A grade: THE first quarter was goal for goal against Morwell who we are yet to beat. We rolled into the second quarter with Morwell finding a quick 8 goal lead.
Continuous hard work and determination for the ball got the girls back within 5 goals.
Lots of changes across the defence end, trying to find gaps in the oppositions attack. A few screaming intercepts from the backline brought back possession.
The last half brought more changes across the court and the Parrots had to work incredibly hard to slow down Morwell and finish off their plays.
They lost the game by 14 goals, meaning they play for their last chance to reach the grand final next week.

B grade: An incredible quick start from B grade, during the first two goals without a fuss. Moe stepped into the game and tried to keep up with the speed of the Parrots, keeping the range of only a few goals in the first quarter.
For the rest of the game, the Parrots continued to kick up a gear with their speed across the whole court and hunger for the ball.

The last half was full of tips and scraps that fell in the Parrot’s favour as they made the most of every high ball to contend with fingertips.
The B graders finished the game 5 goals ahead and now walk straight into the grand final.

C grade: C grade came out firing from the first whistle, creating turnovers and taking intercepts from early in the game. They played a fantastic four quarters, applying strong defensive pressure across the court.
The attacking end worked tirelessly, feeding the ball into the goalers, keeping them in front of Maffra for majority of the game. C grade did a wonderful job of backing one another and they worked as a team to get the win, which has secured them a spot in the Grand Final.

Sunday – Under 15s: Maffra came out firing, with a strong and vocal supporter base they showed why they were top of the ladder for the season. Our girls fought all day and came back time and time again but, in the end, couldn’t get ahead.
The girls should be so proud of the season they’ve had and how far they’ve come.
