Mirboo North's A Grade netballers are ready to go for this week’s grand final against Toora and will be looking to give it their best.
Mirboo North also won the 2022 MGNFL Cliff Greenwood Memorial Club Championship, among the 13 clubs for most wins across all grades of football and netball this season.
The mighty Tigers’ Hudson Kerr and Liam Nash were included in MGFNL’s 2022 football team of the year, with Danielle Blair selected in Mid Gippsland’s best A Grade netball side.
MNFNC’s Nick Cummaudo took out the MGFNL thirds under 18 best and fairest award, and Kat Smith was announced as the league’s D Grade netball winner by seven votes.
Mirboo North’s Jayne Blackford won the MGFNL C Grade goal shooter’s award with 382 hoops for the season, and finished runner-up in the league’s best and fairest award.
Large numbers of Mirboo North’s yellow and black army of supporters are expected to travel to Morwell East to watch the Tigers in action.
A pall of sadness has enveloped the club following the recent sudden passing of long time stalwart, servant and organiser, Bernice Snell, whose funeral will take place this Friday at Mirboo North’s St Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10.00am.
Afterwards, food and refreshments will be available for funeral goers at Mirboo North’s W J Tuck Recreation Reserve Tigerland headquarters.
