San Remo deserves better

YOU point out our Council’s 131-page draft plan and the community session on March 26 at Silverwater.
My wife and I attended thinking an open meeting presentation of the 131-page draft plan.
What a farce.
Be it eight tables, write your question for each theme. Paper and pen supplied.
What a disappointment on this tomorrow’s San Remo by our Council.
In my opinion, San Remo needs our Council to approach The Department of Transport and Planning (old Vic Roads) and request Phillip Island Road be extended to four lanes for the eight kilometres to the San Remo Bridge.
No cost to Council only presentation.
Also, they need to convince DTP to install as least one set of traffic lights at Back Beach Road urgently. Sure, we need Bergin and Potters Hill but DTP and their money isn’t just for San Remo.
One suggestion for our Council to assist San Remo is for Shetland Heights Road, be it as narrow as it is, parking be banned but Council provide parking on the nature strips similar to Potters Hill.
