SOUTH Gippsland country week golf hit off in perfect conditions on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula with match winning performances by the South Gippsland women.
Assisted by sponsorship from Ray White Real Estate, Haynes Paints, Area Specialist South Gippsland and Wrig’s Coatings local teams played against the rest of the country Victorian districts.
The South Gippsland men were in the top division playing at 13th Beach and The Sands, the women were in Division 2 and played at Clifton Springs, Curlewis and The Sands.
South Gippsland women finished winning the most number of matches but not the highest point score.
Almost winning their whole division the women lost very narrowly to the eventual winner “South Western” 4/3.
The men unfortunately did not win a game but won several matches against considerably more experienced opposition.
