On Sunday, June 15, the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition sent five representative teams to the Eastern Zone Association Champs Tournament in Bairnsdale. After competing in the Sale Tournament and winning five out of five grand finals, followed by the Moe Tournament where they won four out of five, the West Gippsland Girls were entering the tournament in fine netball form.

All five teams reached the grand finals at Bairnsdale, with the 13's and 15's reserves finishing as runners-up, alongside the 13's champion team also taking the runner-up position.

The 15's champs and 17's champs both faced off against the Gippsland League, with both teams winning their respective sections in excellent displays of netball throughout the day. The 13's champs, 15's champs, and 17's champs will now compete in Melbourne at the final’s day on Sunday, June 29.
