A Grade, Division 1
CAPPING off a great weekend of cricket, OMK won three out of four matches over the weekend, securing victory against Phillip Island in A1 at Outtrim Recreation Reserve.
Best for OMK was Jacob Lamers taking 3/22 and Ethan Lamers not out on 71.
Opening the batting for Phillip Island, Max Arceo was caught and bowled by Vishal Sharma for just eight runs after being repeatedly coaxed forward out of his crease to take a shot.
Brodie Johnston steadied for Phillip Island, notching up 69 runs before being eventually clean bowled by Ethan Lamers at the end of the innings, leaving Phillip Island teetering.
The Island had struggled early losing Heath, Womersley, captain Daniel Mock and Thomas Niven for just seven runs between them. The middle order looked like holding until OMK’s bowlers took Jobe Williams and Brodie Johnston’s wickets one after the other and then the final wicket of Archie Williams to dismiss the Island all out
for 144.

Travis Pickering, Vishal Sharma and Ethan Lamers shared the bowling honours for OMK with two wickets apiece and Sharma took two catches, including one field catch off the bowling of Ethan Lamers.
Opening the batting for OMK, Clayton Quaife and Ethan Lamers put together a respectable partnership of 42 before Quaife was taken lbw by Jobe Williams on 17.
A series of costly hiccups including a duck for Jacob Lamers and Noel Creed run out with the score on 115 could have proved costly for OMK, however a solid knock by Vishal Sharma (n/o 12) and a match-winning performance by Ethan Lamers (n/o 71) sealed the win for OMK with three wickets in hand.
George McCausland and Heath Womersley took two wickets each for Phillip Island.
OMK B1 (7/216-40) scored a resounding victory over Leongatha Town (10/69-23) with Peter Dell taking 4/25 off 8 overs.
OMK C2 (10/100) succumbed to Koonwarra Leongatha RSL (2/101).
