Witness appeal following Inverloch assault
Police are keen to speak to this man who they believe may be able to help them with their inquiries into an assault in A'Beckett Street Inverloch over the Australia Day weekend.

THE Bass Coast Crime Investigation Unit is appealing for assistance from the public as they investigate an assault that occurred in Inverloch in January.

It is believed the victim, a 20-year-old man from Inverloch, was outside a licensed premises on A’Beckett Street when he was approached by an unknown man about 12.25am on Friday, January 26.

It is understood the two men had a verbal argument before the male offender struck the victim to the head, causing him to fall unconscious.

The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for observation.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 30 years old, and was wearing a t-shirt, shorts and a tattoo covering his left forearm.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist with enquiries.
