BULN Buln Lyrebirds flexed their muscles with a thumping 124-point win over Nyora in round eight of the Ellinbank and District Football League at Buln Buln Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
The Lyrebirds were relentless, holding Nyora goalless in the opening term while racking up three of their own.
By halftime, Buln Buln had a comfortable 69-point lead, thanks to a dominant second quarter where they piled on 10 goals to Nyora’s two.
The onslaught didn’t stop there. Hayden Baker (six goals), Angus Mitchell (three), and Bailey Leatham (three) were standouts in attack.

Despite some strong efforts from William McGindle, Jordan Anderson and Tyler Kirkbride, Nyora couldn’t stem the tide, conceding another nine goals in the final term.
The win sees Buln Buln remain a force to be reckoned with as they build momentum mid-season. Coach and fans alike will be buoyed by the even contribution across the board and the ability to maintain scoreboard pressure all afternoon.
Nyora, meanwhile, will need to regroup quickly as they look to rediscover form after a tough outing.
