A THRILLING performance from David Britt saw Wonthaggi Club claim victory with ease over Inverloch.
Inverloch returned to Wonthaggi’s McMahon Reserve on Saturday, looking to defend its total of 8/204.
Kai Allison and Britt opened for Club.
The partnership dominated the play until 1/150, when Britt was caught by Dylan Clark off the bowling of Isaac Seuren with 113 runs.
Lochlan McLean followed on from Britt, making 29 runs before his wicket fell to Brett Debono.
Allison went on to make 39 not out, finishing the innings with Jason O’Rielly, who made four not out.
In the 54th over, the game went to Club with a score of 2/205.
Sharks sink Burra
PHILLIP Island made short work of Korumburra’s score of 10/89.
Playing at the Cowes Recreation Reserve, Kurt Lane and Kohen Beaumont opened the Sharks’ innings.
Lane made 64 runs before he was caught by Phillip Richards off the bowling of Liam Dole.
Tharidu Asurumuni was at the crease after Lane, but Dole dismissed him for a golden duck.
Beaumont and Lawrence Ferrari went on to make 59 and 24 not out, and Phillip Island declared once it had reached 2/159.
Korumburra was sent back into bat, but Phillip Island bowlers Beaumont, Tarryn Allan and Lane kept the scoring opportunities to a minimum.
Batting fifth in the order, Richards attempted to steer Korumburra back into the right direction, making 47 not out.
George Edwards added 12 runs towards the end of the innings.
Allan was Phillip Island’s top bowler, taking 3/26.
Korumburra ended the day with a score of 6/93.
Red Caps roll over MDU
NERRENA’S score of 6/303 was out of reach for MDU.
Steve Arnup opened well for MDU, making 29 runs before he was bowled by Shem Murphy.
This was ultimately the top score of the day, with Troy Sinclair adding 18 runs and 13 runs contributed by Dylan Zuidema.
William Croatto led Nerrena’s bowling efforts, taking 3/8.
Jaxon Checkley and Tyson Harris claimed two wickets each.
MDU played out 49 overs before it was bowled out 10/109, giving the win to the Red Caps.
OMK had the round 11 bye.

Imperials steamroll Glen Alvie
AN INCREDIBLE team effort from the Imperials batsmen devastated Glen Alvie on Saturday.
Glen Alvie was looking fairly comfortable after its innings, having made 10/224.
However, the Imperials came back to Leongatha’s East Campus on Saturday with other plans.
Gary Sauvarin and Kristian Gray opened for the Imperials.
At 1/136, Gray was the first out after he was dismissed LBW by Wayne Luke with 65 runs.
Sauvarin made the top score of 86 runs before he was caught by Glenn Moore off the bowling of Daniel Gilbert.
Captain Samuel Vagg was the only other batsman dismissed – his wicket also claimed by Gilbert – but not before he had made another 50 runs.
Francois Botha and Lucas Anderson saw out the innings, making nine and one not out.
The Imperials had passed Glen Alvie’s score, finishing the day with 3/225.
Nyora knocks off Cougars, shakes up ladder
A LOSS for Koonwarra L/RSL resulted in a shuffle at the top of the ladder.
Leongatha Town has crept to the top by a slight percentage after the Cougars were outplayed by Nyora on the weekend.
Koonwarra L/RSL had reached a total of 10/231 the following week and Nyora was up to the challenge.
The opening partnership of Colin and Jordan Knox made 41 and 39 runs respectively before both had their wickets claimed by Nick Arnup.
Jarrod Shields top-scored for Nyora with 60 runs before his wicket was taken by Spencer Chadwick.
Captain Keith Linford finished off the innings with 28 not out.
The overall effort resulted in a score of 6/235, handing Nyora the win.
Foster fires past Killy-Bass
FOSTER enjoyed a win over Kilcunda-Bass.
Kilcunda-Bass was out to defend its total of 10/181.
Playing at the Foster Cricket Ground, Foster lost its first three batsmen quickly, but Jack Gay and Neil Henry ensured the win would not slip away.
Gay and Henry made 69 and 59 not out respectively.
For Kilcunda-Bass, Ben Rookes had the best bowling figures with 3/35.
Alister McBride claimed the only other wicket.
After 47 overs, Foster was crowned the winner with a score of 4/184.
Leongatha Town had the round 11 bye.
