KILCUNDA-BASS picked up a great win at Glen Alvie on Saturday in their C grade division two contest, however, the Sharks were celebrating much more than just the victory.
It was a family affair for the travelling Killy-Bass squad, as almost half the team hailed from one household, that’s right, five members of the Sharks XI were part of the one family.
Dan Bettles and Rina DeRubeis got to play with their three boys Cruz (11), Hunter (9) and Dallas (8), an awesome achievement for the family unit.
The Sharks ended up winning the match by 63-runs and all family members had a great time, Hunter even finished the day with three wickets (3/16 from 7 overs) while Cruz (1/17 from 7 overs) and Dallas (1/12 from 6 overs) each took one.
Cruz also topped the score for the family with 17 runs!
The boys’ uncle and Rina’s brother Pat DeRubeis also played, a great achievement for the club.
