COMING off a loss in round two, Foster was itching to get a win on the board.
It was successful with a convincing win over Kilcunda-Bass at the Foster Cricket Ground on Saturday.
Kilcunda-Bass won the toss and chose to bat first.
Batting fourth and fifth in the order, captain Matthew Grayson and Daniel Ferguson contributed Kilcunda-Bass’ highest scores of the day with 27 and 20 runs respectively.
Jake Best was working hard for Foster, claiming 3/15.
Single wickets were claimed by Andrew Pattie and Ollie Rook.
After 40 overs, Kilcunda-Bass had reached 7/121.
However, the Foster batsmen went out eager to reach their target.
When captain Josh Toner was sent off for a duck by a catch from Shaun Lucas off the bowling of Todd Smith, Kilcunda-Bass looked in with a chance.
In the end, though, Mitchell Jones and Best could not be stopped.
Both not out by the time the game was won, Jones made 36 while Best racked up 74.
Foster’s winning score was 1/122.
Nyora dominates at home
NYORA also enjoyed a comfortable victory over Glen Alvie.
Playing at home, Nyora won the toss and elected to bat first.
Henry Dolphin started strong with 41 runs.


Jy Hull later top-scored with 55 runs with Aaron Thompson finishing off the innings with 49 not out.
Glen Alvie bowlers Wayne Luke and Ryan Sinclair claimed 3/48 and 2/45 respectively.
Nyora could feel confident going into Glen Alvie’s innings with a score of 7/212.
Batting fourth in the order, Archie Moore managed Glen Alvie’s top score for the day with 36 runs before he was run out by Aidan Simmons.
Jack Brown later added 21 runs to the score.
Nyora bowlers Aaron Kaddatz and Thompson made things difficult for Glen Alvie, claiming three wickets each.
Glen Alvie was bowled out with 10/116.
Stingrays unstoppable
A WIN against MDU sees Inverloch sitting on top of the ladder after round four.
MDU chose to bat first, but quickly lost Paul Le Page for a duck.
Sembakuttige Chathura Lakshan was sent in and made a handy 87 runs before he was bowled by Jesse Dugard.
Dugard, along with bowlers Callum Asbury, Cooper Newman and Dylan Clark, ensured there was little more damage on the scoreboard by taking multiple wickets.
MDU was tasked with defending 10/149.
Inverloch opening batsman Riley Harris set the Stingrays on the path to victory with 51 runs.
Clark sealed the deal with 47 not out later in the innings.
Wickets were claimed by MDU bowlers Sam Bright, vice-captain Mitch McGrath and Sembakuttige Chathura Lakshan.
Almost at the end of its allotted overs, Inverloch secured the win with 4/153.
