BATTLING it out to the end, the Imperials won in their first innings against OMK.
A low-scoring first day of the two-day match saw OMK bowled out for 65 and the Imperials bowled out for 69.
OMK went back in to bat on Saturday and produced a better performance.
The opening partnership of Clayton Quaife and Zavier Lamers had begun its run before stumps the previous week.
Lamers made 13 runs before he was caught by Jack Ginnane off the bowling of Isaac Bolge, but Quaife went on to make 60 not out.
He managed this feat alongside Ethan Lamers, who stepped up after the dismissal of Zavier Lamers and top-scored with 87 runs.
After 45 overs, OMK declared with a score of 2/181, looking to hunt down a reverse outright win.
However, OMK only managed to dismiss three batsmen before time ran out.
Nick Eddy, Luke Rogers and Aydan Williams made 12, two and eight runs respectively, before their wickets fell to bowlers Zavier Lamers and Peter Dell.
Rowen McLennan top scored with 31 runs and was not out at stumps.
The Imperials finished the day with 3/60, claiming the first innings victory.
Club’s dominant 376 too much for Cougars
KOONWARRA L/RSL put up a good fight, but it could not match Wonthaggi Club’s commanding score of 10/376.
The Cougars were off to a shaky start when opening batsman William Cashin was bowled for a golden duck at the hands of Club captain Joel Brann.
However, the partnership of Mitchell and Kayden Scrimshaw saw the home side get back on track when they made 49 and 62 runs respectively.
Colin McPhee later top-scored with a handy 67 runs.
For Club, Fraser West was the star bowler, taking 3/36.



Mark McCall and Mitch Thomas were multiple wicket takers.
Koonwarra L/RSL was defeated with a score of 10/270.
Town seals the win with Wakishta’s unbeaten 53
LEONGATHA Town was too strong for Korumburra.
Town headed into Saturday’s innings having already made 1/58, chasing Korumburra’s final tally of 10/196.
The partnership of Ron Abeysinghe and Dulaj Lakishitha Mendis Polwaththa Gallage continued its run, which saw them make 46 and 48 runs respectively.
Town’s top score came from Buwaneka Wakishta, who made 53 not out.
Andy Millar had Korumburra’s best bowling stats, taking 2/19.
Singles were claimed by vice-captain Steve Hamill, captain Tom Crocker and Mitch Young.
In the 54th over, Town was crowned the winner with a score of 5/216.
Island holds firm to defeat Nerrena
NERRENA fell short of its target against Phillip Island.
Phillip Island was tasked with defending 9/252 and proved to be successful thanks to the bowling prowess of Zac Brown, who claimed 4/50.
Jack Curtis opened well for Nerrena, putting 59 runs on the scoreboard.
Captain Thomas Cameron added another 22 runs and Tadgh Gannon kept the Red Caps in contention with 45 runs.
For Phillip Island, Heath Womersley also played a role in keeping the win out of Nerrena’s reach by taking 3/31.
Singles were claimed by Max Royal, Jobe Williams and Kurt Lane.
Nerrena finished the day bowled out with a final score of 10/200.
