Foster on track to chase down Nyora

FOSTER is threatening to approach Nyora’s tally after a low-scoring first innings on Saturday.

Nyora travelled to Foster and won the toss, choosing to bat first.

Foster worked its way through Nyora’s batting order, led by bowler Andrew Pattie, who claimed 3/29 early on.

Aaron Kaddatz kept Nyora in the game by top scoring with 51 runs before he was caught by Mitchell Jones off the bowling of Michael Cooke.

Reece Cordeux made 40 runs late in the innings.

Cooke and Ollie Rook were Foster’s other multiple wicket takers with two each.

Nyora was bowled out at 10/134, allowing Foster to open its innings.

Though opening batsman Jones was bowled by Kaddatz after four runs, fellow opening batsman Josh Toner went on to make 39 not out.

Jake Best was also bowled by Kaddatz and Rook made 23 not.

Foster was sitting on 2/74 at stumps and will be eying off Nyora’s total this weekend.

Glen Alvie won the toss and chose to send in Matthew Donohue and captain Ben McRae.
