Olivia takes out third place for 2022 Australian Jumping Championship
Olivia Curtain came third in the Australian Jumping Championships with two firsts and a second in the Arilla Cup build-up event at Boneo Park.
It was an incredible feat for the 11-year-old who has only been riding Xcella for four months.
It was an incredible feat for the 11-year-old who has only been riding Xcella for four months.

ALL EYES were turned to Boneo Park for 10 days in the first week of November with the Arilla Cup followed by the Pryde’s Easifeed Australian Jumping Championships.

Newhaven College’s Olivia Curtain had both her horses Xcella and Mr Jones competing.

They had some great rounds in the Arilla Cup build-up event with two first placings and a second in the Open 95cm heights.

This led into competing in the Open 1m Opal Series of the Australian Championships.

After four tough days with over 100 competitors Olivia and Xcella made it the final speed round with 44 other competitors.

It was a fast-paced final with some quick times set and some unfortunate rails.

Olivia and Xcella had an awesome round setting a blistering time of 31.24 seconds all clear, placing her third overall; just .64 seconds from first place and .06sec from second place.

A fantastic effort at her first Australian Championships at just 11 years of age, with a horse she has only had for four months.
