OMK successfully secured an outright win against Korumburra on Saturday.

During the previous week, Korumburra battled to defend 9/84, and OMK managed to reach 8/104 by stumps.

Sharks demolish Nerrena

NERRENA could not match the mighty momentum of Phillip Island.

The Sharks had recorded two tons the previous week and went into Saturday’s match ready to defend its comfortable total of 4/355.

Nerrena was quickly rattled when it lost skipper Mitchell Clarke for a duck, caught by Lachlan Cleeland.

Caine Salmon stepped up to the crease towards the bottom of the batting order and top scored with 28 runs.

Nineteen runs to Tadgh Gannon and 17 runs to Loc Roberts were the other notable performances.

Max Royal was Phillip Island’s top bowler for the day, taking 3/15.

Simon Kirton and Zac Brown were also multiple wicket takers.

Nerrena was bowled out at 10/111.

Sauvarin responds

IMPERIALS bowler Timothy

Sauvarin responded to Inverloch’s Lewis Rankin’s 7/48 effort by claiming seven wickets of his own on Saturday.

Sauvarin claimed an impressive 7/27, which held Inverloch to 10/96 and secured a win for the Imperials.

Inverloch’s opening partnership of Jack Butcher and Walter Taberner had the Stingrays off to a solid start, making 34 and 25 runs respectively.

However, they were the only batsmen who reached double figures, as Sauvarin’s reign began.

Lachie Wright, captain Jack Ginnane and Klayton McGrath also claimed wickets for the Imps.

The Imperials went home with the points, having made 10/196.

Club hold on to victory

Club gained momentum early when Town opening batsman Jack Hume was dismissed LBW by Fraser West.

Town captain Jesse Giardina also opened the batting and steered the ship back in the right direction, making 67 runs before West dismissed him as well.

West removed the top of Town’s batting order, claiming 3/49.
