A PINK Stumps Day Fundraiser for Wonthaggi Club Cricket Club was held on February 24.
Hosted by Jade Ray-Angarane, Bass Coast Health’s Taryn Robinson from McGrath Foundation was invited do a presentation.
Taryn explained the history of the McGrath Foundation, gave educational advice for the women in the room, what’s available locally and showed statistics.
She had posters to look at and leaflets for the women to take home to read.
Megan Vuillerman also spoke about her personal experience and journey as a cancer survivor.
“It was a really magical day. I’m so glad I decided to do it. It not only raised funds for the charity, but spread awareness regarding breast cancer,” Jade said.
The Club cricketers also enjoyed a win on the day.
The day was a success and $5500 was raised for breast care nurses at McGrath Foundation.
