IN THE battle of the Sharks, it was the Blue Sharks winning the toss and batting first and they made an impressive 130.
In the end, the White Sharks just couldn’t get to the lofty total, falling short by 24-runs.
Standouts on the evening for the Blue Sharks Sarah Tyrrell who made a game-high 25 from just 15 balls!
While Sylivia Pilz made 16 herself, the standouts for the White Sharks were Sheree Chasemore and Heidi Driscoll who both made 14.
Kilcunda-Bass Blue will ride this momentum into their next clash which will come against Longwarry on the road, while Killy-Bass White will face Nyora at home.
Inverloch v Koonwarra L/RSL
THE Inverloch ‘Stingettes’ welcomed Koonwarra L/RSL down the road for their Round 2 match up on Sunday after rain robbed them of play a week prior.
The visitors won the toss and sent the Stingettes in to bat first and they finished on a solid total of 98.
In reply, Koony were just not able to find the same firepower as Inverloch bowled really well to defend their total and win by 33-runs.
Standout performers for the hosts were Liza Burrows who managed to make a crucial 21, as well as Keely Dennerley who made a nice 12, Jackie Newman also pitched in with three wickets.
Unfortunately, the complete results were not available however Koony’ had some sensational performances also.
Koonwarra L/RSL will be back home for their next match which will come against Foster Black, while Inverloch will go on the road to face off with Foster Yellow.
